What time does the Bursar open at Okstate? ›

In person by check, money order, or cash at the Office of the Bursar, 113 Student Union. Hours 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday. After-hour payments can be placed in the secure depository slot adjacent to the Bursar Office windows.

The Office of the Bursar accepts cash, checks, and online credit card payments. Payments are due prior to the 15th of each month. If the 15th falls on a weekend, the due date is extended to the next business day without penalty.

The Office of the Bursar offers a variety of services including monthly account billing, credit balance refunds, payment processing, support for past due accounts, third party sponsorship assistance, semester payment plans, and Perkins Loan repayment.

OSU currently accepts eCheck, personal checks, money orders and cash as acceptable payment methods.

The grading standard for all College courses will be a numerical system ranging from 0 to 100 percent, with 70 percent as the lowest passing grade except for courses designated as pass/fail.

The cost for an in-state student to attend Ohio State for four years is $120,740, based on 2022-23 estimates. For out-of-state students, that number is $217,688.

The total cost is the sticker price, plus the cost of room and board, books and supplies, and transportation and personal expenses. At Oklahoma State University, the total cost is $24,589 for in-state students and $40,109 for out-of-state students.

Why is it called bursar? ›

The word Bursar is derived from the Latin word “Bursa” meaning “purse.” So as can be reasoned, our office is responsible for the billing and collection of tuition, fees and other college charges.

The Faculty and Staff Tuition Assistance Plan pays the instructional, general and non-Ohio resident fees (up to 10 hours per term) for eligible employees who take courses at Ohio State. The benefit is available upon employment in an eligible appointment of at least 75% FTE.

Our hours of operation are 7:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday and closed on the weekend.

Students who have past due balances are subject to late penalties. If your past due balance is not resolved by the published deadline, your account will be assessed a $200 late fee.

Include the student's name on the face of the check or money order. Mail your payment to the address below. The Bursar office is open from 8:45 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays, from 8:45 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Our office is open for in-person services Monday – Friday 900 AM – 5:00 PM. When making a payment in person, we accept Cash, Checks, and Money Orders only. We do NOT accept debit or credit cards at the Bursar windows.
